Definately an intake, that thing needs to breathe. If that isn't worth the 13hp than do the underdrive. I would just keep the stock MAF to stay away from tuning issues.

Decent numbers, that LS6 head makes a diff. I would agree the supporting mods should get you over the 400 "Hump". I would definitly NOT touch the MAF, works fine and like said will screw with driveability once on the road. OR at least tell the tuner you have it and they will tell you what they recommend.

I was surprised at the tq number I was thinking it would be in the 370ish range. If I do a ls2 maf I would definantly get it re-tuned by the tuner. I heard the 85m maf was good for a solid 10hp on a cammed car.

ls2 maf=10hp
ud pulley=7hp
cai=8hp
catback=10hp

all in all with a re-tune I should pick up another 30-35h if I was guessing right.

My thoughts:

-That's a good cam
-An LS2 MAF is not going to make any more power. The stock MAF is fine.
-You are giving up an easy 10-15rwhp with the stock airbox
-UDP is worth 6-7rwhp. It's not really a "dyno" mod, but does show gains on the dyno.
-A bigger catback with bigger mufflers will make more power. Our 3" custom system we put on GTO's makes 15-18rwhp over stock.
-Keep in mind GTO's dyno slightly less than an F-body.

Lots of room for improvement. With some tweaks I don't think 420rwhp will be out of the question.

Leave the MAF alone.

thanks for that info, I guess I will keep the ls2 maf off the wish list.
don't you think the 3inch exhaust will kill some low end tq?
thoughts on a fast intake manifold? 90mm version and sell the ls6 manifold or just not worth it for a street car?

As hard as it is to do right now, try to get a OTR cai. Keep and eye out on ls1gto.com for a used catback or get cut outs. Like most have said, I dont think a ls2 MAF is worth the small amount of HP because of the possible tuning issues.
