Default 6.0...LQ or ls2...better?

on paper these engines are the same....we'll set aside the aluminum vs. iron argument. how are some guys breaking 500rwhp with a cam only LS2 (w supporting mods) and im seeing some LQ4/9 builds and 370s in the 460-500 range.

so a 6.0 with 243's and a cam does very well.

forged is forged. LQ or LS2...it'll handle what you got....

basically i have some tsp 243's and a custom cam with all new valvtrain, oil pump....the works i was wanting to do on my car, but even running nitrous im limited to the stock bottom end LS1...

so im looking at getting a forged shortblock and use this stuff. what im thinking now is going LS2 364....which will take a little modification but not much. the only thing changing is the shortblock, 24t reluctor, easy swap style.

im only thinking ls2 because they seem to hold power....but im lost here...which one.

My opinion is its all up to what u using it for. The iron block is heavier but can hold so much power. I'm not say the ls2 aluminum block is weak by no means. But if u didn't care about the weight id feel a lot better knowing I could put that engine to some major power and not have to worry.
