11 Second Club - 11.6 at 121 First time at the track!

OK kind of a long story and kind of funny but ended good.

TEA Stage 1.5 heads, fast 90 set up
RPM level V T-56, Text OZ clutch
Moser 9", 4.10 gears
315/35/17 MT ET Streets

First time ever at the track in a car, so I watched some runs and thought that the track was hooking good, because i saw some cars bogging off the line. So I get up and do a nice little burnout and ready to go. I get the brillant idea and say, I dont want to bog the start so let's launch it off the rev limiter. Bad idea, like an idiot LOL. I didnt move off the line, sat there and spun LOL. Finally get going and I miss 3rd gear too. I felt like a huge tool.

1st run - 2.7 60ft, 14.4 at 110.

I get the slip and I am completely embarassed. I get in line again. Realize i never dropped and tire pressure. What another idiot move. Go to drop the tire pressure, my gauge is broke. This guy driving an integra is right up my ass so I asked him if i could use his gauge. He hooks me up, with the biggest POS gauge ever. I thought I dropped the tire pressure down to 20, again thought being the key word.

I start talking to another tech guy, Z28241. Throw his gauge on there and the pressures were all f'ed up. Thank god he was there and helped a brother out LOL

Next few runs went like this

12.5 at 116, 1.9 - missed 3rd
11.9 at 120, 1.9
12.2 at 120, 2.1 - too much RPM and spun bad
11.6 at 121, 1.7

Considering it's my first time im really impressed. I had a blast and met some cool people that really helped me out. Thank god or i'd be stuck in the 14's LOL

yeah nice runs.I didnt see you but best i could muster was a 1.87 60' and a 11.9 at 119.My car just wont break 120 mph.I dont want to power shift it either.I was spinning all over the place with my tires.I was dropping it at 4500 and just spinning all through first.And this clutch is either on or off,so feathering it out didnt work either.owell it was a lot of fun

redtail2426, my first run was at 8:48. then All my other runs were after 10:30. I stayed when they cleaned the track up because I couldn't live with that 14 lol

Car was dyno at 440/400.

Like I said this was my first time at the track, roll racing always seem to pop up and the car pulls really good on the street

On the 11.6 and the 11.9 run I was launching like 3000-3200. Car bogged just a little, but its better then just sitting there and spinning

thanks guys. Def wanna get out more and back it up with some better times. The car is all set up for a 100 shot too i'm just going through all the wiring because it was kinda hacked in. I get some consistant times then i'll see what i can do on spray.

On the other hand im really impressed with the car for the mods.

Not sure on the weight. Only w/r is no rear seats and no ac condensor/pump. But I do have the TT2's and i'm sure they are really heavy

i have almost identical mods and am putting down almost the exact same numbers. great times! i haven't gotten mine to the track but it's good to have something to aim for given my setup.

I was alittle surprised at the times, i knew the car could run it but i didn't know if i could lol. Some more seat time hopefull get some 11.5's
