My turbo Holden ute with lots of pics...
G’day everyone,
I’ve found my way over to your forum and couldn’t be happier there is so much useful information regarding the LSX series motors.
I currently have a Holden Commodore VY SS Ute.
Its had a few different combo's over the past 3 yrs in bolt on form (337hp), cam package (411hp) and then a single turbo (600+hp on low boost) before a bad workshop messed up my tune and sent the engine packing.
I currently have a motor built up using a LSX block with a 427 custom rotating assembly good for some serious boost as well a making a complete new turbo setup capable of well over 1000hp without trying.
I’m on here to learn as much as I can and make my ute into a better car.
Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Ive learnt something new in my first hour or so.
That sucks about them cancelling the ute, There’s something about the shape and practicality that makes them so appealing. Hopefully you will get one in 2011.
I have a new set of billet wheels being made as we type. 22x10 rears with massive dish and 20x8's with a chrome lip and color coded centers.

Thanks for all your comments guys.
You all love my ute and i love your cars and would swap mine for a camaro or something similar in a heartbeat.
In regards to the weight factor in the rear end well it doesnt really get traction in 1st or 2nd under about 130kph (80mph) of course you can feather the throttle and it will hook up in second but first gear is useless.
I have a set of 22x10's for the rear so we will see how that goes. I have a set of CCW (15x10/15x5) wheels for when a track opens near me but right now the clostest track is around 9-10hours away.
Now that it has a 427 in it and im still working out the turbo setup (either a 106mm or bigger single or twin 88/91mm twins) im thinking unless i tub the thing and fit a 12inch rear with a 4 link it wont hook up.
The shifter is a B&M Pro Ratchet bolted to a T400
