Default L92 wiring starter - first startup

I am trying to get a first start after 1 year of installing this motor, etc.
Solenoid has power from battery then on to Alternator.

Purple wire on solenoid from new harness. Turn the key, I hear the fuel pump but nothing. No crank zippo.

Solenoid has a silver lead running to starter.

Ideas? I am sure I am missing something very basic. Newbie here.

Neutral lockout?

Give us some more info about the setup. What kind/year engine and trans? What year harness and PCM, and from what kind/year car?

Do you have a "hot in start only" running from your chassis to the harness? Tell us more about that, too.

No hot in start only going to harness.

Engine is an L92 recammed, + LS3 intake, from a 2007 Escalade. Stock PCM.
Harness is new from Current Performance. Supposedly, just need a switched hot, fuel pump wire, and ign/start wire to get engine going. Harness came with fuses and 4 relays ( two fan/1 starter/1 ign power.)

Trans is a 4L70E with TCM.

PCM and and TCM programmed by Geoff who was referred from Pat G. who did the cam.

Car is a 68 camaro. I have about 6 wires to choose from behind the ign switch.
Pink, Pink Black stripe, Purple white stripe, Red, Brown white stripe, Yellow.

My guess is I need to locate this "hot in start only wire."? The ones I have been trying are switched hot, not hot in start only?

Thanks in advance for anyones help. I am SOOO close to getting this going, its just killing me. I am totally clueless on what to do.

PS, added a hot in start only wire to new harness. No go.

Thanks again.

I would consider calling Current Performance on this one. Their harness should have a provision for this. If the Current Perf harness has a heavy purple wire going to the starter (to engage the starter) that sounds right. You probably need to find the other end of that wire and make sure it is getting hot in start only. I don't know much about older Camaros but I have seen cars either 1) have the wire run straight from the ignition switch to the starer solenoid (that purple wire) or 2) have the starter switch run through a relay that activates the starter solenoid (purple wire.) I have also seen a third, where the PCM gets a signal from the ignition switch and activates a relay, but I doubt a stand-alone harness would go that route.

Anyway, you need to find the other end of that purple wire, and make sure it is getting B+ only when the ignition switch is turned to the start position. Test it with a test light and let us know what you find!

Default Update

Getting some current to the alternator purple solenoid wire.

Pulled starter. Tried to jump it. Nothing.

Any good place to find an L92 starter?
