Default 383w/AFR VS LS2w/L92

I have a 383 with 62cc 205 AFR's, unported Fast90 and NW90 TB with a Comp 238/240 dur .605 .609 lift cam. Thinking about a new combo. Maybe a LS2 with L92 heads? Anyone have any thoughts on what would make more power given similiar mods? Or how would the AFR's and Fast work on the
LS2? Open to other suggestions as well.

Since you already have the heads and intake I would stick with that.. They will actually work well with a stroked LS2.. Just get your intake ported... What is the use of the car......

New avatar I see.....LOL

Good advice and why would you (referring to the OP at this point) consider reducing displacement in search of more power.

With a properly optimized set up, you should be able to make 450 - 500 RWHP with the basis being most of the parts you desribe....more thru a six speed if your really on your game and you hit the details....thats the key but it also costs money.

What are you making now? Lets see the curve

IMO your money would be better spent optimizing what you have....you already have alot of good ingredients!

The car is just a fun street car. I was just wondering how much more power ( if any) I could make with the bigger bore of the LS2 even with giving up displacement?

Tony, I was actually thinking of PM you about porting the Fast and touching up the AFR's. Was also wondering your thoughts on my cam selection. BTW, the car has never been on the dyno, just a mail order tune right now.

Displacement is KING.....bore size doesnt matter much unless its retarded small like the 5.3 stuff and really starts choking off airflow.

Let me work the heads, port the intake, give you some advice on cam installed position, pushrod preload, etc. and this combo should make some good power when the smoke clears assuming you properly tune it on the street or on a chassis dyno (by a competent tuner of course).

PM me for details if your interested....
