Default To delete cats or not?

Just was wondering if I should delete my cats or not? Right now i have ARH headers and a catted y pipe with a magnaflow cat back and its quiet even at wide open. Was wondering how much louder if any it will be? Does any one have a sound clip with out cats with that setup if so could you post or lead me in the direction thanks in advance.

I think your issue is your Magnaflow muffler. Removing cats usually increase rasp a bit, and if you have hi flo cats already, the difference shouldn't be much any way.

Removing cats also causes a very stinky exhaust.

With cats and a magnaflow catback, you have one of the quietest setups. Lose the cats to make it louder but it won't be obnoxiously loud.

Or keep the cats and switch the magnaflow with a SLP LM 1 if you want it even louder. With the cats the rasp will be minimal to none with the LM1.

I actually like the smell of catless exhaust. But removing them will increase rasp.

i like the way my ORY sounds with magnaflow. its not ridiculous or annoyingly loud when normally driving it but can get nice and loud when you step on it. there is a little rasp but doesnt sound like garbage IMO.

I just posted a clipnot too long ago.

Another thing to keep in mind is that without cats, if you have polished tips they will get DIRTY! I was shocked how shitty my Corsa clones looked after a week with no cats.

Default Magnafolw= low rumble

I just got my 02 WS6, did the same set up ARH long tubes, and magnaflow cat back with cats and it is not that loud at all!! So I just ordered a QTP cut out. Cant wait I hope it will sound nice and loud with the cutout, and I already know it will be quiet on the freeway once closed.

I had a LM for 9 years, and when I switched to ARH's with their high flow cats, the drone was even too much for me. I'd recommend trying to drive someone else's car a couple miles first to judge yourself before signing up for that.

Thanks for all the input and advice everyone, But is the slp proflo any louder then the magnaflow? The cutout is a good idea though.

I will definately second that. I find I need to clean the tips all the time since I don't have cats.

i run a ORY and love it!!! i have pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, TSP Rumbler and its not totally ridiculous until im at WOT.
i guess i lucked up about the rasp, because i barely have any. but it wouldnt have bothered me either way. i dont mind rasp so...

i say ditch those cats, and get a different cat-back and you'll be plenty loud and pleased!

im actually thinking of adding cut-outs so it will be louder! lol

Loose the cats if you like fighting for inspection, smelling like gas and drawing attention. Oh, emission laws are only becoming more strict.

Not worth the headache and ~5 hp gain when not having them IMO

Removing the cats wont do much. I have Headers/ORY/Magnaflow and my **** is still quiet. Its all cause of the Magnaflow muffler, its like really good at keeping **** quiet. I would just go with a cutout if I was you.
