stock oil cooler questions

here's the idea...the cooler adaper above the oil filter acts as a heat-sink radiator fluid is supposedly cooler than engine oil or vise versa at the filter.... so it is supposed to help out with engine temps if i understand that corectly...i feel it's a bit lacking in its design and performance IMO. At this time i had deleted mine to make way for the headers ..I will however be adding a performance one back in @ some point, aswell as a trans cooler

oh yeah ive heard that the lt1 vette water pumps are a little different and didn't have that port. might be the way to go if a guy does plan on deleting it and are looking for a new water pump.

It's another one of those things that once its gone its so convenient. Then you forget what it was like having one, go work on a stock or near stock car and start swearing at all the extra junk in the way!
Its like delete delete delete with these cars. EGR/AIR, oil cooler, sooner or later ABS. So much extra un-needed crap. Maybe I will one day get around to the LS1 lid setup also, gain even more space to work! Kinda miss my carb'd 83 Z28 sometimes, all the space in the world to work.
