Default SLP/Donaldson Blackwing oddity, ...

Not sure where else to put this, but it is associated with the Firehawk/SS cars, so here it goes, ...

Anyone notice anything odd about this particular Blackwing airlid?!?
I've never seen one like this before, ...

Not particularly - no I don't notice anything out of the ordinary, and aside from the warning sticker being torn off, it looks almost identical to mine. Is this a quiz?!

Correct.
Since these were built specifically for the 2002 models, they 'should have' all received the AIR port on the side. However, this one has never been opened up.
Just seemed pretty damn odd to me, ...

Customer had it sent it to me for a custom paint project with some matching FRC's.

I just thought it was really odd & decided to post it up for everyone to see.

Update, "After" photos, ...
Note the raised & squared off arches on the fuel rail covers for the FAST intake manifold.

Wow, nice work, as usual!!! Everything came out really well esp considering the covers are a different plastic from the air lid!! I bet it really pops in person! Are they going on a show car? Better yet, how about some pics IN the vehicle?
