I'm not sure what is going on with my trunk but it will not automatically lock into place when you close it. Whenever I go over bumps it flips open and slams down, annoys the hell out of me. I've tried messing with the lock mechanism but no results...any help?

this happened to me when I first bought mine.

Check the piece on the frame that the trunk locks down on. Mine was loose and instead of the trunk latching on it, it would just move it.
