Default Flowmaster Super 44s Help Please!

I just put super 44s on my monte with just the stock exhaust. I just cut the old mufflers off and welded in the 44s. I have also deleted the resonator. Honestly I dont think it is very loud cruising down the highway i cannot hear anything inside the car. I have read on hear about how loud everyone says this is but im not seeing that. Do you think a catless down pipe would help my problem?

i have deltaflow 40s and theyr not loud enough, friend has an ss as well and has 44s, slightly louder then mine but still nothing in the cabin as well... you want loud? get a cutout lol

i wouldve just gone straight pipes but having mufflers in the back doesnt make me look suspicious when cruising with the cutout open lol
i close the cutout and its nice and quiet, for a nice drive with the parents, talk to the girlies in your car without having to yell lol etc etc..

from what i understand from your post, you WANT to hear it in the car? being catless will make it louder and faster.. i say go for it.. but not sure if it will be the sound you want? maybe someone else can help..

look at the spintech mufflers. if your looking for horse power then i would go catless and get some spintechs or something. if your looking for loud then get a cut out.

I personally have the 44s and i think its kinda loud but i am probably going to replace them with spintechs or something in the future

my magnaflo's are loud and carry a great note with the resonator deleted. My pipes are 2.5 inch. I would not say that they are so loud that you cannot hear someone talk in the cabin of the car. But, they definitely can be heard and sometimes vibrate the console.

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in taking these off my hands for me, I think I want to try the super 10 series!! I paid 70 bucks a piece plus shipping for them and they have only been on for one day. I would like to get 60 bucks a piece plus whatever shipping would be.

I had the 40 series and mine were loud as hell. The 40 series and the Super 40/44 series have the same sound just a different muffler material wise. I now am straight piped and i love it. My cabin rattles and vibrates and all. I haven't once been stopped by the cops.

Here is my video when i had the 40 series

Man, when you guys say you want loud, you really mean, you want LOUD... I'm fine with my setup of just a simple muffler swap, but I too think it could be a tad louder. I think I'm just going to get a smaller resonator. I don't want it to rattle the crap out of my car.

You'll be kicking yourself for doing straight pipes if you ever go catless.

thats the thing im 2.5 straight piped and i dont think its loud at all. kinda sounds like a loudmouth ls1. i think loud is all personal opinion and preference. people think my 80s loud, but i think its kind of quiet. loud to me is a open header car.

one's definition changes over time. When I was 17 or so, buddy had a '69 T-bird. 429 Thunderjet engine with more holes than pipe in the exhaust. I considered that good loud. Now, I would consider it insanely loud and make my opinion crystal clear to the a-hole 17 year old running it that way. Cops back then agreed too. Got pulled over every time he got on it. New exhaust system and it was luxury car quiet (as quiet as they got with factory duals before the cat-con was invented.) He was able to get where he was going a lot faster being relatively stealthy compared to before. Learned then that really loud pipes just slow you down. All sound and fury, with nowhere to use it.

I'm straight-piped, as well. Sounds good outside and is tolerable inside once you get used to it.

I picked up some Magnaflows for when I get my catless DP installed. Like Travis said, catless DP with straight pipes would be deafning.
