Cool Some boxes showed up...wanna see what's inside?

These came in yesterday evening, along with my new lid and motor mounts. I'm still waiting on my UMI SFCs and STB...should be in today.

Anyhow, the pics you see came out to about $700 shipped.
I'm planning on having the emmisions stuff trimmed off and welded up. All I need now are band clamps...thanks MUMBLES for the suggestion, and the link.

X-ray, I'll be sending you a pm here in a little bit. They're non-sponser items.

To answer some questions, 1 3/4" - 3"..... 3" all the way back.

And yes, they look fantastic, for now. I'm sure it won't take long for them to start turning gold. It is a shame they'll be going underneath, almost makes me want to remove the side skirts just so they can be seen.

I'm going to take some more pics of the primaries, collectors, cats, mufflers, welds, etc...

LOL, did the boxes come in a sleigh with a big white bearded man? hahaha

I am not a fan of dumping before the axle, however...

Ha!!!

More like a couple of short mustached hispanic guys in shorts.

But yeah, Christmas in September. I couldn't pass up on some of these prices. WS6store has discounted all of their UMI stuff, and I've been wanting SFCs' for a while now.

All in all, I spent just shy of a grand this past week.

Oh, yeah...I'm sure the majority of you know where these headers (and T/Ds') came from. I know there's another seller here who folks have recently been having problems getting their products after payment. I ordered all of this last Thursday, showed up yesterday afternoon. Very well, packaged.

Thanks for the info.

Dumping before the axle kicks ***. Less weight, less restriction, MORE NOISE!

These things weigh a ton, so dunno about less weight. Of course I haven't removed the stocker for comparison.

Pics up next

I believe its ok to mention the name of the company (if not a sponsor), aslong as you dont post a direct link to their website.

Well, I don't know what the exact rules are. I see some folks flat out advertising, then some who get their posts deleted just at the mere mention. I have no problems pm'ing the info to whoever wants it. I just don't want to get in trouble.

It's going to be a while before I can even begin work on it. I've read that the oil filter has to be removed for this swap. I'm only about 700 miles into my last oil change...waste not want not.

But as soon as I do, I'll report back. I'm not puter savvy, so when that time comes; someone will have to walk me through the video thing.

What bamp clamps are you putting on there? I've been meaning lately to replace all my u-clamps with band clamps for a better fit and seal..

I looked at jegs online. Their 3" (actually 2 7/8" inlet 3" outlet) stepped band clamps are like $8 each, and are stainless steel as well.

Does anyone have any other insight with this?

Just because you take your filter off does not mean all your oil will spill out or you have to change it, unless you try and start it while the filter is off..hah.
As nice as they look sitting on the floor I personally would be itching to get em on asap, might even take off work to install them.
To each is own I suppose.
Let us know how they sound and fit once you stop procrastinating!
They look sick!

Glad to help, man!

I'm sure you can't wait to get started on the installation. I know when boxes start arriving at my house, I start choppin' at the bit wanting to tear into car.

Everything looks awesome! I'll bet this system is @#$%ing LOUD!! LOL

Good luck, GSus!! Be sure to post up on your progress and get a sound clip/video on completion.

You don't even know how bad I'm wanting to tear through it. It's taking a lot of restraint. However, I've come to terms with the fact I still need some more things like ramps, extra jack, 2 more guys to help, etc...

I just put my STB on and had to get some replacement nuts, grrr...

But yeah, I might start on them a little ahead of schedule. I still have my truck to drive, so the T/A can afford to be down for a little while.
