Default Car dies at 5500RPM

Just put a new motor in my car, exact same specs as the one that came out and changed my stall 200rpm higher. The stall being the only diffence ive made in the car. When i get to 5500 rpm the car just kind of dies power wise totally. Its getting plunty of fuel the wideband doesnt change at all, it runs great at all other rpms except wide open throttle at 5500. Any ideas at all? Im so frustrated. Shift points are at 6300 so its not hitting them.

Sounds like ignition. Blowing out the spark? Try tightening up the gap on your plugs. Costs nothing.

pulled plugs, the guy who put the motor in put 6 used tr6s and 2 used acdelcos ranging from .30 gap to .56. Took the car out in the rain today and went wot with it and it reved past 5500rpm but maybe it only did that because there was no load on the car? Could it just be plugs that would fix it?

todays bump.. changed all sensors, lowered shift points below 5500 and worked great, as soon as it hit 5500 when shift points were raised car died again. Fuel pressure is holding solid 58psi. Putting a new computer and starting with a fresh tune tomorrow. ANY IDEAS?????
