1.72 Ultra Gold rocker arms
I received my set of 1.72 Ultra gold comp rocker arms. While test fitting to make sure the stock valve cover would clear them i noticed that the bolts did not match the instructions supplied.
in the instructions and from talking to other mechanics, they have informed me of adjustable rocker arm stubs with poly locks or set screws. The ones I have do not have a poly lock or set screw.
I know the original design of the oem parts are non-adjustable rocker arms. So is it safe to assume these are the same way?

Yes, they rocker guide rail that runs across the entire head is replaced by shorter sections that run from one rocker arm to the next, your intake and exhaust. So you have a plate for every two rockers.
I appreciate your information. I just wanted to make sure I was not crazy.

Sweetz0v8 when you did the installs where they on standard lifters? I am running short lift lifters and the standard pushrods seem to be compressing too much with the non-adjustable rockers.
I am looking into getting short pushrods but I was not sure if you had an idea of the length?
