Default Opti removal on blown cars

Hey everyone,

I am going to attempt to replace the opti on my car. I've found a tutorial for the R&R, which doesn't seem too bad. My question is, I have a Vortech T-Trim with aftercooler installed as well. Does anyone know of any additional steps that I need to perform in addition to the steps I found here:

http://www.lt1engine.com/tech/93-97-...emove-replace/

I am going to assume that I will need a puller with longer bolts in order to remove the damper? If so, does anyone know what size bolts I would need for the puller?

I'd rather pay someone to do it for me, just don't have that ~$1000 mechanics are asking since I my little girl is about to be born.

Thanks in advance.

no puller necessary. you just need to pull the dampener not the hub. 3 bolts and it should pop right off with minimal effort. i did not need to remove the ICM and coil when i pulled mine a few days ago.

I had to use a BFH for it.

That is one nasty engine they used for that write up.
