Default help.. ecm and program for lq9

can anybody help me out , i have an 07 lq9 im going to put in a project car. 67 firebird conv. have harness but no ecm. i would like to go with a dbc throttle body but do not know which ones will work. anyone done this ? also i need to know what ecm's will work with it and who can do the programming. thanks Tim

DBW is the way to go. Much better to set up for engine mods (Cams). You can have better Throttle Response with DBW

what about problems? are there alot of problems with the dbw stuff?

TunedbyFrost sells pcms for the LQ9 I believe, plus while you are at it you can get them to do a mailorder tune on it before they send it to you.

get a dyno tune!! mail order tunes arent 100% accurate!! go to ebay and get you a stock pcm then take the car to gforce and get it dyno tuned..youl get every ounce of power out of it and the tune will be safe!!

thanks for the help with that site. also there is noone around here that does dyno tuning to my knowledge so that will not be possible unless you know of some that i dont.

DBW has a lot less issues and the hardware last for a long time. I see trucks with 200K on the OE T-Body.

ok. i am not apposed to it just not sure about reliability when piecing something together.. that brings up another question though, do i have options on which dbw pedal to use or do i have to find the silverado ss or escalade ?
