Question Help With Wheel Choice!

Looking for wheel suggestions for my Arctic White 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula, more pics of it are in my album. Any input would be appreciated, Thanks.

I had a white Firebird. It had some black w/ machined lip C5 Z06s on it. That sort of got old to me after a while. I think Comp Grey is about as dark as I would go on a white car (unless it was a panda AE86 or something). Those black wheels looked a lot better on my SOM Formula, but I still got rid of them for some 02 WS6 Speedlines.

At any rate, what is your budget? That will have an affect on what wheels we should even talk about. What size do you want? For good looking and affordable wheels I like the "deep dish" C5 Y2K style. WS6 wheels, or C4 ZR1 if you want something that looks like OEM. At the other end, Fikse FM5, FM10, or Profil 5S are all nice too.

I thought about getting some 09 C6 Z06 Spider wheels for my Formula before I decided to get the Speedlines. I haven't seen them enough on Formulas to be sold. Likewise, I haven't seen the new ZR1 style on a Bird enough to pass judgment, but just looking at the design it is probably too busy anyway.

Anyway, the main message I want to get across is to resist any urge to get black wheels for your white car

thanks for the help, i was looking at the black w/ machined lip c6 z06 wheels, but havent found a pic of them on any formula or trans am, if anyone has a pic feel free to post it here. i also like the chrome c6 and c5 z06 wheels but i cant decide. I also saw someone on here with the speedline wheels painted black and it looked sick but i hear those wheels are really hard to find. The black american racing ttm's have been catching my eye lately as well. and for price im not looking for really expensive wheels like the ccw's, looking to stay in the one thousand area, and either 17s or 18s is the size i would prefer. if anyone has any pics of a white formula or trans am with black c6 z06 or the black american racing ttm's, i would appreciate it if you could post them here. Thanks.

Here is one in grey (anthacite):

versus chrome

Pictures of black wheels are easily found. Still would urge you to not go darker than grey / gunmetal on a white car.

Firehawk rims in chrome, just make sure to keep the inside of the wheel clean as well.
