I am running a little smaller cam that yours now and I have Patriot dual springs on it..I am very happy with them and ran another set on a little bigger cam than yours for about 45,000 miles and they were still good when I replaced them..I always run a dual spring set up just for the piece of mind they give me. I work a Chevy dealership and have seen major damage to heads and pistons and worse when a single spring breaks.

Yes. Huge overkill.

The PAC 1218 will take that cam all day long, provide better valvetrain stability and last just as long. A car I built 2-3 yrs ago has about 30-40K on a set of PACs with this cam.

The internet will have you believe you "need" double springs with everything. But that is not the case.

X2 have 20k + on my 1218's with 585 lift. Works perfect, no need to have the extra valvetrain weight for no reason.

Hmmm, been running them in my combo with a .581/.581 cam for about 50k miles without a single issue.

should i swap the springs out for a set of pac 1218s or should i swap the cam for something a little more agressive to go with the patriot heads the heads are the ones with the 59cc chambers

i like the torquer v2

That cam is a much better cam than the T2 IMO. I would keep it, and run the PACS.
