Default cutout question

how would i mate a 3" cutout to the stock catback on my car if both ends are 3"? do i need to have the catback opened up or could it slip fit over the 2 3/4" stock cb?

Slip the 3" cutout over the stock pipe and then weld and your good to go.

i dont really want to weld anything since im gonna get tsp duals in a month or so

That's going to be one hell of a loose slip-fit, and will probably leak like a bitch, if you can even get clamps to work at all. You can always get 2 3/4" - 3" exhaust couplers, and clamp it all up that way.

If you're going duals in a month, why put the cutout on now?
