Default LS6 cam in 6.0

Have an LQ4 in my T/A with tsp 2.5 5.3 heads full boltons.Thinking of adding an ls6 cam for a little extra power. With the 5.3 heads and thinner head gasket my compression ratio is right at stock ls1 so what do you think car is my DD so this is just something to add a little more power.

I know I wont be the only one to say it but while your in there doing it id just go a little bigger. You can go bigger than that and still not know there is a cam in there besides the added power.

All of the 224 cams are proven from what ive read. Just remember unless you already upgraded valvesprings your gonna have to do that with an ls6 cam too.

I agree with the other guys in the thread. The ls6 cam will give you a small boost in performance, but if you are going to be doing all the work to get a cam in there I would want something a little bigger. Some thing like a 220/220 cam would still work great as a DD cam, but provide a noticeable amount of performance over the LS6 cam.

Like was said, go bigger! Me personally, i wouldnt go under a 224, especially in a 6.0. I had TSP's 224R in my 01 WS6 (LS1), and it was great! Very easy to drive, and hardly ANY lope at all.
