Default How to get more HP and TQ with the least amount of money lol???

Ok here is the deal, I eventually want to make my Camaro faster with the least amount of money and has to be street legal lol. Were I live, elevation kills most of the cars, and ls1's are running a second to a second 1/2 slower than stock times. For example, a stock ls1 should run around 13.5, here you would run a 14.5 or even a 14.7 stock, havent run mine yet but after seeing so many stock ls1's running that I can relate to those times

Anyways, I was reading in how to get faster want to run high elevens here which would be close to high tens somewhere else, was planning on doing heads and cam, but wanted a to see what else i could do like a supercharged setup but that would be more money, just the most hp and tq with stock internals, goal would be anything below 450rwhp and similar tq like 438tq or something any ideas

at high elevation your at a huge disadvantage n/a. Go turbo/blower and forget about it! 450 rwhp with stock cubes at a high elevation is gonna take some expensive parts... but 450 horsepower with a basic turbo/blower at elevation is gonna be a lot more driveable and probably the same as a kick *** heads cam motor would cost. Good thing about forced induction and altitude is it pretty much negates it... 8lbs of boost is 8lbs of boost..

If you're planning to stay stock internals and similar, go with a procharger kit IMO... no extra oil lines, coolant lines, exhaust, etc. They are really a pnp affair and especially for making 100whp its easy.

basic n20 kit with bolts and tune. upgrade trans and suspension.
that will make 400+rw when your on the spray. remove any unnecessary weight. car needs to be be set up all around for those kinds of e.t.

I would be thinking supercharger, E85 fuel, and gears. Gears will give the biggest bang for the buck, but you may need to do that last to get the right ratio.

I vote nitrous! makes its own atmosphere aswell... wich helps with high DA's. Nothing against boost, I had a charger setup years ago. They make great power, but dont be mislead into thinking its easier than what it really is... the ***** expensive, be prepared lol. imo a stock/bolton car with a 100-150 shot makes for an excellent sleeper!

^^^^ werd on the sleeper....The one thing I don't like about my car is I can't slip up on anybody.... They hear a cammed LSx and automatically avoid a race... except for the Cobra guys and the dumbasses in 525/30 bimmers who know nothing about cars and think their bimmer can beat anything short of a Supercar....they are the most fun to beat.....some of the Cobras demand respect though (read Kenne Bell)....

If I could do anything over it would be to make my car more stealth.....

If I lived at high elevation, I would consider a turbocharger as essential as gas and oil.
