was looking at the part numbers section and noticed they list the LS6 intake manifold for the F-bodys then re list it for the z06

"LS6 intake manifold (01-02 F-body) = 88894339 (formerly 88890524, 88890523, 12561184)
LS6 intake manifold (from Corvette Z06) = ? (formerly 12573572)"

whats the diff if there is one and or if im upgrading to the ls6 intake mani from the ls1 one which should i get? i dont have EGR

88894339 is the GM intake w/out EGR. That is the one we normally run. It should go right on the car. You will need the coolant pipes and plugs to do it correctly.

Couldn't he just knock off some of the fins on the bottom of the intake so that it clears the lines?

Yes, I prefer to keep the coolant flowing back there IMO!

Just grind the bottom to clear the coolant pipes with a dremel. Takes about 10 minutes....

Thats the way mine is and I have had it for 2 years now with no problems. Just grind the fins off the bottom of the intake so the stock coolant tube clears.

You definitely can. Just hate to grind on a $500+ intake.

What about a $300 intake? You can find them used pretty easily, and grinding the fins doesn't take that much time. You may have to hammer the stock lines (don't use tooooo much pressure) to get them flush to get the load off the new intake. I used a piece of wood to help shape them (put it under the line, tap slightly, check clearance, repeat) and it went well.
