I've been looking into one of these sets of heads. I can get 317's for under $200 in useable shape. The 243's are gonna be around $400-450. I plan on having the 317's milled to the 243 chamber size, what kind of power over my stock 02 ls1 heads will the 317's milled, or the 243's make?

15 rwhp should be a decent guess

not sure the 317s can be milled that much but I might be wrong...look for some 799, same heads as the 243 but usually sell cheaper, I got mine for around $250 shipped

if you can change out your pistons, go with a domed piston and some 317's....

and i dont think 317s can be milled down to 64cc....

as another option, look at adding aluminum to the combustion chamber, if thats an option

i'm not going to swap pistons on this car, not that i can't, i just dont want to tear the whole motor apart. I'll look into 799's with some home porting, and a cam.

what kinda car does the 799s come off of? and i'm guess the 317s come off the ls2?

317's come off of trucks 799's are either ls6 or ls2 along with 243's
