Had Hooker shorties in my third gen F-body. If it would be done again, I would have gone with Hooker Super pro comp full length(LT's). They came coated, so all in all, good quality, good fitment. For the price, great buy. Can't speak about LPP as I never owned them. Now I have Kooks 1 7/8 catless in my GTO. Every car I own from now on, will be Kooks equipped. Kooks is by far the best quality and fitment I've come across. The two down sides are they do not come coated coated from Kooks, and they are pricey. Actually IIRC, they are the most expensive available.
Hope this helps.

I have LPP headers with the catted Y. I had to grind the driver k member, starter tab on the block and the driver headers rests on the motor mount. They also leak at the collector and where the 2 piece y pipe connects. If I had to do it again, I would go ARH. The thing is, once there on there, you forget about really, unless they leak. I always have my cutout open so you hear it when its closed

I paid $960 for the following
headers
y pipe
new gm gaskets
o2 extension
band clamps
stage 8 locking bolts

I am getting a catted y as well, i was planning on going with lpps catted y if i get the lpp headers, or maybe tsp's catted y for either header because i hear alot of good things about it. I would go with the hooker ones because they are a more trusted brand from what i hear, but i know nothing about the stainless ones, and i hear some good new and some bad news about lpps

Let me know if you need any pics of anything, headers, y pipe or side shot of how low it hangs. it tucks up pretty good. I only scrape because my garage ramps is like a 45 deg angle.

I found my old posts. Alot easier than posting them again. For the money there great, ARH would be close to 1700 or more. I have about 8000 miles on the headers and dulled a bit but still will never rust.

one more thing about your lpp catted y...they come with a hanger or something to prevent it from hitting the floor board right? and how is the merge on it? is it raspy or it sounds good?

No problem. The other thing, mine came with those u bolt clamps and paper gaskets. I have heard of other people actually getting band clamps with theres. I would check with them before ordering and specify you want bad clamps. The paper gaskets are useless, just use your old metal ones.
