Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - 01 Z -vs- 09 G8 GT

These two cars are ours.Both stock sans mufflers for the g-8.We bought the Z so the wife could have something to go play in when we go to the track,instead of taking the g8 all the time(it is her company car).

The Z is in GREAT shape,and is a A4.We plan on several mods for the Z,but argue about a stock vs stock winner of the two.The G8 has ran a 8.8 in the 1/8th.I thought maybe the difference in wieght would tip the scale in the Z's favor.I may eat crow though!

I had a 09 G8 GT for a year... my grandma now drives it... I ran a high 13 in it with an intake and an exhaust. I'd rather have an Fbody over a G8GT any day!

The G8 GT has basically 20 more HP but weighs 600 lb more. Its not hard to figure out.

Yes,the g8 is her company car..The seat of the pants feels like the g-8,but i cant help but go with power to weight ratio...:punch:

bone stock A4 Z with stock stall and gearing is gonna be a damn close race with the G8,ill give the edge to the G8 due to gearing.

well, the Z went a 8.74 @ 83 with a 2.05 60, in 90 degree heat..


I believe a .60 is not out of the question on a cool evening night.:pimp:
