Default Valve Spring Question

I bought a TSP Torquer v2 from a member on here and a set of dual valve springs good to .675 lift. Obviously stock retainers won't work on "fat" springs like that. My question is, would I be better off buying some aftermarket retainers to fit them, or should I go with something like the "918's" from Comp? Lift on this cam is .595/.598. 918's are good to .600. Another option I was thinking was the PAC's from Texas Speed. The 1218's are good to .600 and the 1518's are good to .650 but are $100 more. Help me decide gents.

If they are the PRC .675" lift springs, you've got a great spring and just need the seats, seals, and retainers! Those items will run you about $200 or so.

Or you can go back with a PAC 1218 or equivalent....they'll cost you about $170 plus the cost of new seals and retainers if you want to replace those.

Is it a MUST that the seals and retainers need to be replaced if I went with the 1218's or can I get by with stock? They are the PRC's, I'm just looking for ease of installation and ease on my wallet right now.

No, for the beehives you do not have to replace the seats/seals if they are not leaking currently!
