Single Digit Club - first day out with the car put it in the 8's

This was the first day out with the new car. I was working the bugs out on the 4- link. The following weekend I went 8.48 @ 162. Not bad for a little SBC.

a little info on the motor setup? That is movin out.

Its an all aluminum 434 dash 12 head motor. With 3 stages on it. 15.5:1 compression. With a glide. Its got a crower 4" crank, Oliver 6.250 steel rods, JE custom pistons 4.155. The rest of it is typical stuff.

you street drive that thing? thats badass. it must sound absolutely insane, whats the cam like?

Cam is 268 272 on a 110 ls with 780 lift. And I run it through 4" oval exhaust with magnaflow race bullets. Its pretty insane on the street. So far I've be lucky and the cops have left me alone. But I also behave myself in it. My 01 ws6 is my street beater. I hope that's done soon.

pretty badass, thats actually a pretty smallish cam for a 434 w/ 15.5 to 1, it actually must make retarded torque, cool car man.

We have a guy from around here that has almost the same set up, except its a iron block 428 with no power adders what so ever and it goes 8:54 on a 10.5 stock suspesion 66 nova
