New Orleans - fastest real streetcar shootout

We are having another one saturday oct 16th at leakesville , ms. All cars must complete 20 mile cruise and meet rules before entering. Basically a real street car on a tire no larger than a 28x10.5. Its kind of short notice on here but i already have a bunch of cars coming so come on.
Leakesville , ms Street Racin Haven track. Last time a 6.0 car won the whole thing with ac and leather and all. Dont be scared. Come on its gonna be awesome racing

Well there were cars there 5.5 to 5.6 range but the car that won it ran 5.9 to 6.0 and consistent on the pro tree. There will be a handful of mid 5 cars there again but mostly high 5 to mid 6 cars. Its very fun and some awesome racing. They are doing some index classes as well so it should be somethin for everyone

I have a bunch of friends up towards pontotoc, oxford, tupelo, new albany, area. I told them bout it, they should be coming down, not sure if there bringing anything but at least theyll be spectating. :usa:

We're bring a 91 lx coupe up there. Anyone for a grudge race? We're willing to bet their isn't an f-body going to that race that can beat our street car. Any takers? You have to meet their rules as a street car as well. Our car has full interior, stock style suspension (no four link or back half), stock hood, Muffler, brake tag, all street legal. We will be on a 275 drag radial as well. We know we have the fastest street car in the new orleans area!

if your limiting the tire size whys it matter if the car is minitubbed? what advantage does that give so great that on the same tire one cant enter?

Worlds fastest street car belongs to Larry Larson...6.95 @ 209.10 at the 2010 Hot Rod Drag Week...car was driven 1300 miles from race track to race track...this was quarter miles racing not eighth mile BS ... nuff said.

We can run Travose21 quarter mile too, lock it up for 2k and we will run at NPR. The track he said he will be there, and race for cash is only an eighth mile track, so kinda impossible to do a quarter mile race. He said he will race for cash at this race, so lets see if he is running his car or his mouth.

It drives on the street all the time, we dont race on the street anymore, not worth the risks playa...If u dont think u can win, just say it...its all good. U said u were going to the track to race for money, so why u dont want to run a small motor street driven Mustang?

I'm not fast enough to step up with that car lol. But i'm entering the race anyways. Who knows they might slip and let a slower car win. The last 4 events local the fastest car hasnt won. But yeah i will get a link to the video when its ready

if my car was up and running, i'd run and if this happened 2 wks after the 16th. not as fast as 8's or 9's but it would hold its own against 10s. maybe next time. black plague, like your setup, sounds identical to mine :)

all ls cars out here are mainly head and cam cars there are only a handfull that run below a 9.50 but hardly any in the 8's. i know you are used to picking on stock cars i have experienced it first hand...haynes back in the day with my stock ta.. this time when i come knocking on your door it will be a different story... i have almost all parts to get my car together, just need the cage to go in to be legal. And it will be a true street car like yours all pw, wipers glass stock suspension and radials.

God knows out law doesnt use any stock bottomed end block. Cause they gotta use boost to make theres go fast. Cause if you dont boost a ford the only way to make it go fast is to give it a heart beat.

i dont street race anymore either thats why you havent heard of my cars being on the road in years. I never had a car that ran mid 8's maybe thats why you havent got the knock, but trust me the time is coming fast when the cage it done its just a matter of finding time to put it together. Hell i have one of my cars in the shop now with every part to turn out a mid 9sec "TRUE" street car no weight reduction A/C and all the options of a stock car. We have been so busy i havent had time, we have 10 cars in the shop and as soon as they are out the 9sec will be out.

i dont think people are scared they just know that they can not run with you 8.50 @164 is moving and big motor doesnt mean anything when you are in a 3600+lb car small motor big turbo and 2500lb car.. 600 700 800hp weight makes a difference

Our car weighs 3415 lbs , get ur facts straight before u just blab shit out. It was weighed two weeks ago at a race. That is just retarded if u seriously think this car is gutted or that light. Well had absolutely perfect weather and only 13 cars showed up to run the class. Some very fast street cars. Outlaw red lighted in the finals and a duster on 275s won the event. We'll get some video up as soon as possible

Sorry i could not make it had to work. I was sick all night. lol As far as the car count may want to move race to central MS. I am still planning mine and hope for a good turnout.

it came down to 3 cars the turbo coupe had a bye run and i ran the dodge and he beat me then he ran the coupe.ohh and me and the dodge were the only 2 out of the 3 left in the class on 275s.:D

my best was a 6.18 @105 had problems the last 200 feet the kit was acting up bad but i did cut a 1.29 sixty foot and my worst was 1.32 on a 275 radial.and a stock 6.0 shortblock ha ha!!!

Better retrack that yall have the fastest street car in new orleans statement. brians car was not that impressive at ford vs chevy.

Big dip in that lane........hazed the tires down the track. The deal was 2 out of 3...swap lanes and flip coin on last run if necessary. If it's not the fastest street car...why isn't anyone stepping up to the challenge. We won't retract anything.
