Its the cover that covers the bottom of the clutch. I honestly dont know exactly what its called but on the c5 it would be a half circle shape. It just covers the bottom of the clutch/flywheel. I see where I can bolt something up to mine and im sure thats what goes there as you can see the clutch plate and flywheel from the bottom of the car without it.
