hey guys, i havent been on here in about a month i think. ive kinda been thinking about selling my ss, once i did my h/c package it made me realize i have to go spend about another 3500 on it just to get it down the track( 9 inch and a clutch. and im sick of dumping money into the stupid thing and i can not offord to any longer. i kinda want to get a pickup and a dirtbike if i sell my car. dont know why im telling you guys this, just something thats been on my mind lately.

hey, welcome back!
well my advice would be just stop spending money on it, thats what ive done with mine.
its nice to just enjoy the car for a while and not be upgrading this and fixing that all the time

although i will be doing some body work soon.....:secret2: lol

i know what u mean, but i have to get 411 gears and im not gonna do that unless i have a 9 inch rear. and it needs a clutch, and it needs to be lowered, it looks stupid with 1 foot of fender gap. and as lon g as i have it ill aloways want to upgrade it. honestly i think id rather have a 06 gto than my fbody these days.

ya i can see where your coming from, ive kinda decided that for now i wanna leave the motor stock for reliability and because i know if i do heads and cam il wanna upgrade everything else lol.
ive never been in a GTO but they seem like nice cars

ya i kinda wish i would have never started this drag racing thing, if i had the money i could go spend 10k and still not be happy. when i had my red ss it was great cause all i had was a loudmouth and an intake and i enjoyed every minute of it. i like the gtos cuz they look alot newer, and they are probly aolt more comfortable to drive. plus u can have tds and you can run any muffler you want, its pretty limited only bein able to run sweet thunder or dyno bullets. im just kinda sick of camaros i guess.

I hear ya man. it does suck dumping money into a car for a hobby, but no matter what there is always gonna be a faster car. im looking at adding heads, fast intake, and a bigger stall and that will be it. ive also thought since my car will be paid off next year, why not just save and build a 408 or 427.

yes there will always be a faster car no matter how fast you are. thats why if i keep up this car building extraviganza im just gonna go for a lsx 454, with afr heads and all the most expensive parts, with about 700rwhp, that way it should be enough to satisfy me forever. but ill probly never be able to afford such an expensive project lol. god i hate cars

My advice is keep the car and if you are not happy with the current set up part out the H/C combo and put back on your stock heads and maybe get a custom grind cam that will work well for street/hwy use. You will be less likely to snap the 10 bolt and have to dump money there and gas won't be as bad.

Keep the car, you'll regret it later if you sell it. I've contemplated selling my car several times over the last 11 years but I'm very glad I kept it.

i always wanted to keep mine forever too. but i have decided on my next list of mods, gonna upgrade to 11 inch tt2s for the rear, do a charcoal or black manta stripe and get a satin black berger panel. i wont have to spend a but ton of money that way, and my visual mods will be complete

Hey bro just keeeeeeeeep the car!!!!! You have a stout ride for now. Just put it on hold tell you get the urge to put more money into it.. Think about this. If you get a GTO your going to put more money into it cause it won't be nearly as fast as your SS. And paint wise, talk to freefallin!!!

Why would you get rid of your car for a GTO and then modify it? Why not keep your car and de-tune it? Sorry things are going the way they are.
