Default ls1 intake ?

Hi Guys! Im new in this forum and I'm not fimiliar with the ls1. I bought a 98 ls1 pullout from a 98 camaro. I'm going to put the ls1 into a rx7. My question is on the intake. There's a port on the drivers side in front of the intake closed to the throtle body. There's a hose attach to this port and is routed next to fuel rail close to the incoming fuel line. Where does this hose go to. It was cut when the motor was taken out of the camaro. Is it a return fuel line since it next to the incoming fuel line hose? This is probaly simple but I don't know that this port is for? Can some explain what this port is for and do I need it to run the motor?? Thanks! Ariel
