Default Wondering if I've fallen victim to my 1st opti failure or otherwise?

Started the car for a friend the other day, let it run for a few minutes, gave her a quick rev, not to the moon just enough for the guy to get an idea of what the bullets sound like, then pow through the exhaust, no start since.

I checked spark on #1 and there is spark there, got plenty of fuel and I have valve actuation although I haven't checked tdc correlation with the valves. Fairly new cloyes double roller though and I find it hard to believe that it's (timing set) my culprit but it could be.

Opti? what you guys think, any similar situations? I know it's cheaper to replace the chain that the dizy but @ the same time, she's sealed up really nice and I hate the thought of crackin her open and having a possible oil leak afterward.

Well, your first steps would be these:

But if you blew the rotor off, you might not see it until you open it up and look.

What color was the spark? If it was a nice blue spark or yellow? I ask because you just might have weak spark from a bad coil.

Google all_ignition scam, I am biased though considering we are a competitor.

ok, well, I'll end up with a spare dizzy after the new one gets here. I'm gonna try the Chandler unit but it seems that the issue with mine was the rotor screws backed out. I guess I was lucky that they survived 3.5yrs! Loc-tite the new ones!

I'm not familiar with the green, I've used a lot of blue and also red but never green. How does the green compare?

If you haven't bought it yet we sell the cap and rotor kit. If you can keep your unit running with the mitsu sensor and our cap and rotor you'll be golden. I'm not ashamed to admit the mitsu sensor is far superior.

I talked to Ac Delco a couple days ago and they said they could not find someone to replicate the mitsu sensor good enough. So I don't know what went into that sensor, but it seems to be some serious engineering.
