I posted this again because there were some problems with the link I posted.

My car that took 5 years to build to this point. She does 12.03 @ 114 mph on street tires and 100 Shot of nitrous. My previous car was an 82' Camaro V6 2.8L, so, yes, I love Camaros. Here's what's in her so far...

The 12.03 is that on motor or on the juice?

10-05-2010, 10:06 PM
It's on juice.

What was your 60'?

10-06-2010, 01:27 AM
1.900. I was told I need drag tires.

10-06-2010, 01:37 AM
Yeah you do, but 1.9 60' actually seems pretty good for street tires. I've only dragged a couple times but the best I did on street tires was a 2.2 60' (13.08 @ 110mph)

My next items are a line lock and drag tires. Hopefully those i'll get my times down even lower.

10-06-2010, 02:52 AM
Yeah some tires would help out. what track to you run at and what was the weather like.

I run at Infineon Raceway. It was Sunny that day. A couple of clouds. The barometer was 29.76.

10-06-2010, 11:42 AM
Any idea what the DA was when you ran? The MPH is low for your car on motor, let alone on spray.

10-06-2010, 11:56 AM
I don't. Sorry. The only info I have on my slip id the barometric pressure for that day. How would I go about acquiring the DA?

10-06-2010, 11:59 AM

Also do you know what the car weighs?

10-06-2010, 02:16 PM
Thanks for the link. I inputed the info...

Density Altitude: 1751 feet
Relative Density: 94.98 %

The calc said I should be doing 11.892 @ 115.831 MPH

The weight is around around 3600 lbs.

10-06-2010, 03:01 PM
Yea that's a pretty good DA. If the car dynoed 380 on motor and 480 on spray it should trap in the 117-118 range on motor and 127-128 on spray.

10-06-2010, 07:01 PM
That would be freakin sweet. I wish I could trap those speeds. I'll post slips when I get the line lock and the tires.

10-09-2010, 01:23 PM
Are you sure the nitrous is activating? That trap speed seems pretty close to what you should be on motor? My car traps over 118 on a 125 shot on stock heads/cam/intake.

I'll have to check the solenoids. I brought down the progressive controller rpm to 1500 and hit the WOT switch. The fuel solenoid sprayed but I didn't check the jiuce. I guess I'll be wrenching this week. Thanks for all the info. Hopefully I can bring down my times.

Line lock and DR's FTW.....Get em

its turbo time

+1 on the trap speeds being off, i trapped 117 on stock internals with a 100 should be well into the 11's with that setup also
