355/330 I think depending on the rest of the specs for the cam and heads. How can it be stock bottom end and a 355?

Probably stock crank and rods with .030" pistons.

since you had the heads polished and not just ported, plus the ls1 lid, and hollowed out cat... probably 420rwhp. All those little tricks add up big time

polished is such a fast and the furious term. oh help us jesus, on a serious note. i could see it doing 360ish with a dead nuts tune

I'd have to agree here. 360ish probably pretty close. Those little add-ons do a lot, but probably not enough to get it into the upper 300's.

Did you swap it to the ls1 front end or was it already done when you got the car?

Ported heads can mean anything from completely screwed up to capable of over 500rwhp with a good solid roller or anything in between. There can be a HUGE difference from one porter to the next or in the case of some porters one set of heads to the next.

Did you use old school pistons with a crappy thick ring pack and practically made of lead or did you use a nice piston?

I just rebuilt my motor too with trw pistons. Got a great deal on them. Just sbc pistons. Forged with a 125 cc dome. Should be about 11.75:1 compression

What's wrong with That? Might not be 125cc supposed to be 11.5:1 in a 64cc chamber.

Show me a piston that has a 125cc dome. You obviously have a typo or some BAD info. That's a 7 1/2"^3 dome. About the size of a pack of cigarettes, per piston.

There are three main types of pistons - dished, flat-top and domed. A dished piston has a type of "dish" in the top of it. A flat-top is obviously flat, while a domed piston has (go figure) a dome shape to it in order to increase compression (but also reduced flame travel).

That's the short version. Where are you getting 125cc?

Well no ****...my girlfriend knows the difference in the shape of a piston... but not all domes are the same. Duh. So how big is the dome what is the measuremnt used for it?? Like a head has 64cc chambers what would a dome be measured with??

Why would you want to run a domed piston in the first place?

EDIT: Quick, edit your post and add an insult.

Dome volume is measured in CC.
