Vehicle Classifieds - 2001 WS6 t56 Trans Am

Don't really want to sell this but I've decided it's time for a career change so I'm selling some things to put the money toward school.

It's a 2001 WS6 Trans Am I bought from a guy in Florida. It's got 165,000 miles, and I know nothing about the history of the car. It runs good but the rear whines, it doesn't shift smooth enough so I'm guessing it's about due for a clutch, it probably needs cats, it keeps setting a P0420, cat inefficiency code, I have a pair of lower mileage ones off a wrecked car I can throw in, or a pair of long tube headers that came off a pullout engine I bought. The clear is pealing on the hood, there are some scratches behind the driver's door and a spot where the paint around a scratch pealed off on the passenger door. The windshield is scratched where someone let the wiper scratch it with no blade in it. I'm betting they would polish out though. One of the wheels was cracked so I bought one on ebay but didn't realize it was painted. I was going to strip and polish them all.

My plan was to tear it apart, paint it, put a 9 inch in it, upgrade the clutch, add headers and exhaust etc. All of that would take care of the problems it has and rather than buy a low mileage car for more I bought this one figuring I'd be money ahead once I was done modifying it.

Forgot to mention it has an MGW shifter.

Bumping this, I've been trying to justify keeping it but I've got too many cars. New price, $6000.

Update: I put the cats off my wrecked 00 on this car today. I never noticed before but the driver's side cat had been removed and replaced with a pipe, no wonder the CEL was on lol, but now it's got good cats.

No thanks, got a black on black GTA already. I'm doing a LS1/t56 swap on it, that's part of the reason I'm selling the 01. Somebody buy this thing so I can get the 89 done!

Forgot to mention it has 2 Nitto 555s on the rear with about 1000 miles on them, fronts still have a good amount of tread too.

A few other things I didn't mention, park brake doesn't hold, the shoes look wore out, but the pads are good.

The dimer switch doesn't work, the right blinker doesn't work, not sure why. The windows don't work once in a while. I tracked it down to the BCM not sending power to the window fuse. Also the antenna is broken, and some of the speakers don't seem to work but I haven't looked at why. But that's another thing I'd upgrade anyway.

I'm trying to list every little thing so if someone buys it they aren't surprised by anything. I think I got it all.

Make me some offers if you're interested. $6000 takes it but I'll take the closest offer if no one wants to pay $6000. I just put it on craigslist too so we'll see what happens there.

Yeah I think it'd be fine. I drove it 8 hrs from Idaho Falls back up to Grangeville a few months ago. I'm moving back to Idaho Falls now so if it doesn't sell soon I'll be driving it back down. It's just a little noisy with the gear whine but not super loud.

I just moved to Idaho Falls so the car is now here in IF and is still for sale. Still asking $6000 but if anyone is close enough to come check it out feel free to make me a reasonable offer.
