This is a really random question, but can my 1998 Z fit another 98-02 camaro hood in the trunk? I'm thinking about buying a different hood and I don't have a truck or anything to pick it up. What do you guys think? Anyone ever done this before?

yes, just need to position it sideways.
Edit: You may need to scoot the front seats up a tad. And don't forget to fold the rear seats down if you still have those in the car. /thread

I have.... not by choice though. I would wrap some towels or something around the edges you are going to place in the trunk first to prevent scratching up the plastic side panels in the car. Just fold the back seats down.
Good luck

So yesterday I tried to get a hood in my trunk. It was close, but I wasn't able to do it. I could have done it with the hatch popped open, but I really didn't want to do it. Just thought I would post my experience so others know if they're wondering :)

I have done it. Ask 6LE; he was there to help me put the hood in.

Yeah, they were pushed up a little. It just wasn't happening without scratching my interior...

I didn't remove anything, but it might have helped. It was really close but, the corner of the hood around the area where the hood mounts to the brackets was wouldn't fit in..

I did it to. You remove the back plastic panel but that is all...

 we didn't remove anything when we stuck it in my car after we did the hood swap.
