Which Tire? Nitto NT05R, NT555R, M/T ET Street Radial II I got C5 Y2ks 18's in the back on a 9.5" wide rim. I DD my Camaro & wont really drive it much in the rain (or try not to) but do need something with great grip for the straights 
Which size & tire do you guys recommend? Or should I go with something else?

Haha yea but I mean that goes for pretty much any DR tires you buy. I found this link so I'm kind of thinking about Nitto. Because I don't think my 9.5" rim will fit with 305 M/T

I voted other. What about plain old NT05s they grip very good and are a great tire. They come in 285 35 18 or 275 35 18. or 275 40 18 if you want a better ride. 305 tires are too wide for 9.5 rims. Another very good all around tire is Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in 275 35 18, they do not grip as good as the NT05Rs, but wear alot better for a DD. Just some other choices to ponder.

Legit yea I DD the 555R for like two years. There pretty good but once you get up in the hp the grip just isn't as good. But there great tires for the price & did pretty dam good in the rain.

Toyo Proxes TQ drag radial. I got a 315/35/18 tire, and they have been pretty damn sticky, no problems on the street. Haven't been to a track with them yet though.. Got caught in the rain today, and was very pleased in their wet performance in a rainstorm at 65mph

I like nittos...they have good wear. My buddy has a set of MT's and they wear horrible. His area almost gone and mine look like they've barely been driven on. And I dont think any DR is going to have any traction in the rain what so ever!

The proxes do hook pretty well on the street, but at the track they suck. I could get them to hook 2nd gear on the street with the 6 speed and 615rwhp, but at the track they wouldn't hook til 3rd.
At your power level I'd go with the NT05R, Proxes TQ, or Nitto 555R in that order with dry traction being priority.

i have these too! they are awsome tires i got the same track times of these tires and on mickeys but these tires have more grip in the rain then my normal street tires!

I have ran both nitto's. The 555r's were the best all around tire that let me leave the line around 3500-4500 making around 450rwhp n/a and hold 2nd gear making 550 on spray. That is with the 305/35/18 on a 18x9.5. They run smaller that the m/t. I now run the nt05r's in a 345/30/19. They hook like hell but I do no trust them in the rain.
The 555r's I had them on the car for about 2yrs, 20,000 miles. This car is a daily driver. The nt05's I will be changing before winter so I can save them. They say they only last 7,000-10,000 miles and run over $800
