Default Can I delete air pump w/o tune?

I pulled my waterpump, what a bear that was and was curious if i can just cap the air pump line where it pumps in? Im planning on doing headers in a few months and then having a tune done and I dont need an inspection til 8/11.

Will this cause any issues other than the check engine light?

You're wrong, sorry.

The PCM will ONLY set an SES light on OBDI cars if there is NO fuse in the system. As long as there is a good fuse the PCM will be happy. OBDII cars are more finicky with the AIR pump, because when the PCM calls for AIR pump operation, it seeks a change in AFR via the front O2s from the added oxygen to confirm that the AIR system/pump is working.

I pulled the pump and left the fuse and still got a light....and it's a 93. I tried even getting it to run my EWP instead, and it created bigger issues.....Do a search for EWP on the AIR relay and it will show you how to do it....I did it that way and now everything works great...the only difference is that the guy that did the write up did it on a newer car so finding the correct wire out of the ecm was a bit of a trick...I even have a left over resistor if you need one. If you do it his way and you blow the fuse for the EWP it then sets an SES light....

Have you ever heard of a period, comma, capital letter, or sentence structure? Maybe if you used those things people could decipher your hieroglyphics.
