Default Opening on a LS6 intake?

I'm curious what the opening is on a LS6 intake,75MM,78MM or perhaps 80MM?Anyone ever measure it?

I might try a 80MM TB on my Cartek Ported LS6 to see if its worth anything over my ported stocker TB?I just cant spend that kind of money on a intake (LSX/TB).What are your thoughts?

Has BBK gotten better with there 80MM TB,I know at one time it was real bad and they were having problems sticking too.

$300 or 400 for 5 to 6 RW across the board I'll take but not for 1200 bucks..

With the bypass, where is it leaking? I found mine at the connection on the manifold, had to replace the band clamp and only tighten it using a screwdriver ( vs. a socket ).

Don't know the intake size, I can measure mine tomorrow if JS doesn't reply.

Thanks guys...
I dont think this is gonna matter since my lid is not a 80MM nor is the MAF?What is the size of the stock maf and lid openings for our cars?If its 78MM them I'm gonna put a 78MM TB on my car just for S&G's and see if it picks up on the dyno.

This LSX is $$$ and IMO not proven...
I'm waiting til I see real dyno results compared via LS6 VS LSX...
J-Rods setup gained hp over the ls6 but lost tq with it and that scares me..

J-rod lost power IMO due to the flow problems at the TB-plenum interface (using a oval TB and round inlet with no smooth transition).

LG put a 90mm Round TB on the intake and gained 11 RWHP over the TPIS with no loss in torque...thats excellent IMO

Opening is about 75.5 mm, just a tad bigger than the atock 75mm TB. There's almost no material you can remove, so any TB larger than 75 mm needs an adapter to neck it down. That's kind of reverse porting, IMO.

it would be 20 RWHP for 1300. This is ofcourse assuming you have a LS6 intake. The 11 RWHP was over the TPIS which can show ~8 RWHP over stock LS6
