Toyo Proxes 345/17 on a Formula
here are some pictures of the new tires i installed. they are 27.7 inches in diameter and fit pretty good back there. I love how they look.
the previous were 315/35/17 by Mickey Thompson, i also showed a picture to show the difference in width.
enjoy
old tires:
Let me know what you think and if you want to see from another angle.
i did not take more pictures bc i was trying to show that they look well in the wheel well. they look massive and are a 28 inch tire. i hope this will help me with the tranny being a 4l80e and the gears 4.11's
so far I love them.

I wouldn't put them on a 10.5 at all. I run a 315/35/18 on a 10.5" and for a 315 the bare minimum recommended specs is a 10.5" rim. They have a SLIGHT bulge to them with this combo.
I'm loving my Toyo DR's!

I wouldn't recommend it. I would run a 315 max. These tires don't run small like a Nitto or something.
Good news to the guys running the Toyo's is I have gotten about 11k out of mine. Still have a little bit of tread left on them, but they are getting pretty scary in the rain.
Also, it seems like they don't hook up as well on dry pavement with less tread, unless you heat them up, which is odd for a DR from my experience. Without heating them up, I get a little bit of spin when punching it from a 20, when they would hook cold from a 20 when they had more tread.
I haven't heard anything overwhelmingly positive about track experiences with these tires, but these are my favorite street drag radial. They are very safe to drive in the rain until you get about 8k on them (obviously depending on how hard you have been on them).
