Default 1.6 Rollers..

i know this has been milled over like 1,000 times but what are the facts regarding 1.6 SA RollerRocker use on stock springs? what do they do to the numbers in relation to the springs limits? As i under stand it the spec's on the cam are 205/207 duration @ 50*, .447/.459" lift, 117 LSA Stock and springs seated at 85lbs? with a 5700 redline ...Thinking of getting some SA roller rockers, if the stock springs will Technically be ok/within spec for now... aside from the obvious ,what do they actually do/change?

You will only gain .03 lift (I think) so its really not worth it. Your better off spending the money somewhere else. like gears.

for a DD I'm ok with my 3.23 gear ,i hear others regretting the 3.73 swap..need a stall...anyhow .. so the stock springs are good to what .500 ? i'm really not looking forward to changing the springs..i hear storys of stuck locks. just wana squeeze whats left outta the stock cam and add the benefits from a roller setup for now ... prob right tho...springs do have alot of miles to be monkeying with em'

Stock springs are only sufficient with the stock cam and stock ratio rockers. Change either one and you're looking at a valve spring upgrade. Many argue that you can run stock springs on 1.6 rockers, but it is NOT a wise idea.

Just get lt4 springs I think they're like 40 bucks. That's better than chancing dropping a valve isn't it?
