You are not supposed to break in a new engine with synthetic oil. Drain it out and use conventional.

The front timing cover seal is a very common oil leak location. Did you install the Felpro oil pan gasket dry or with RTV? Are you sure it isn't the front main seal?

X2
and synthetic isn't " dat or ****" your just not using it properly... use it after breaking in motor... and sounds like one or many of your seals weren't installed properly

If the water pump driveshaft seal was damaged during this job, it will leak directly down the front cover, on to the oil pan, and make it look like the oil pan seal is leaking...

^^^Ill bet this is what it is.you need to use a homemade tool out of a sharpie to get the seal right.if you search you can find a link for it.

I just want to add that many folks thin the front of the oil pan gasket is the source of the leak when in reality its the water pump drive seal. It fooled me to.

Too many variables to say it's the oil pan gasket unless you have zeroed in the source. Simplest way to go about it is to start feeling around your timing cover and see if you feel oil up past the oil pan. Do you see any oil that has been slung? Usually that will mean oil is getting past either/or/both the water pump drive shaft and the opti drive.
As stated, if the water pump seal is not put on correctly it will leak like a sieve. There are how to threads you can search for that will tell you how to properly install the seal. If you find out that is the case then buy a few of them. The first one may not go on correctly and you don't want to be stuck on a weekend when the dealer is either closed or has to order one...
