Yeah you shouldn't have to wait more than a few days before it starts to "settle" in. There is a chance they didn't make it properly...

What do you mean you can't chew on it? Does it hurt? Or is your bite not lining up correctly? I've got one... but I need a root canal on the tooth it's on thats the only reason I can't chew on it cause it hurts like a SOB.

my teeth line up fine, it hurts enough to make me wanna chew with the other side but it's not excruciating

Most likely you need a root canal, why did you get a crown in the first place? Did you have a crack in the tooth?

I have 5 root canal-crowns and 4 build up-crowns. None of them have given me issues past the 24 hour mark. you should probably look into a follow up.

I have one. I was fine same day and he said I really should have gotten a root canal.

You need to return to the dentist, theyll take a grinder and file it down for you. Its profile is too high.

I had the same thing happen about a year ago

my molar chipped during dinner some time ago, dentist said it's probably cuz i grind my teeth while i sleep (called bruxism) then he got in there and found decay, i'm definitely going back for a follow up

It was a while ago but yeah. Got a crown/bridge. The dentist ground it down a little to get my bite to match normally, but it just felt funny for the first week or two.

Yup almost the same problem I have, I kept having pains, they couldn't see a crack in this molar but I know it was the right one... so they just ground it down and put a crown on it... now it hurts like a SOB if I even think about chewing over there. I'd ask the dentist he needs to do the job right free of charge.

I have 7 crowns and a 3 tooth bridge. I have had at least that many root canals as well and have never had a issue outside of 24h from leaving my dentist office with any of my crowns.

Sucks growing up with weak enamel, on the bright side now I dont get cavaties since most of the problems teeth are all fake now...lol
