Default Water pump leaking from back panel???

I'm maybe hours from my first start up on my 5.3 and notice a leak once i filled up with a good amount of coolant. Seems to be coming out of that bolted on panel on the back of the water pump. The pump came with my motor, 57K on it.

Anyone ever get a leak from there??? Man am i pissed, i've been dyin to get this car going and now another setback.

I have brand new pump to block gaskets. Leak slowed since i posted, but i bet its cause theres not much left in that chamber of the pump to leak.
