Tune/CAI/DR auto 5.0 gives the supercharged stang group fits at the track today.
Just came back from the track (no times, my posi went out/broke).
However since I now was a spectator I got to witness this: There was a very hot lady in a new auto 5.0 that was CAI/Tune/ET Streets and running consistent 12.3's @ 114mph. There where also 4 supercharged, drag radial, gutted interior pre-2011 GT's there and they were all sweating bullets that a near stock 5.0 would walk them. She beat 2 of the 4. Ouch. The fastest S/C stang only bested her times with a 11.6 @ 119mph: his car had "650hp" badges on it, gutted, ET Streets, built rear with 4.11 gears, weighing a claimed 3340 w/driver. Needless to say he was very relieved when she didnt hit the 11's. Though two weeks earlier she also did a 12.35 with a DA of 800', she couldnt go faster today.
Mineshaft air. according to Drag Times the DA was:
Density Altitude: -963 feet
Relative Density: 102.85 %
I talked to both her and her husband, checked the car over THOROUGHLY and can vouche for it being full weight and still having the stock stall (had him foot brake it to prove it) and stock auto gears (tamper seals still intact on rear with no tool marks and painted over OEM gaskets). Granted she only weighed probably 120lbs but still!

The moral of this story Mustangs are still shitty!
It is funny to have waisted all that money of a shitty *** mustang and get your *** handed to you by a factory show room car. Also shows that the new mustangs might actualy be fast unlike the older ones.

Or it shows the supercharged cars were drove like poop. The new 5.0 is no joke though, does make me jealous when I see the times they run. Just the 35k price tag sucks pretty bad even though the performance.

It shows that the new Mustang is the real deal. Evan Smith, editor of MM&FF went 12.3 with just some 17" drag radials in a new Mustang. This was after he banged the gears and went 12.6 totally stock. Clearly a car that is 250 lbs lighter than the new Camaro that also only has 302 cubes deserves some props. I've owned 6 Camaros and five Mustangs, long live the pony car wars!
