Default Drag car wiring, stock PCM, fan control, fans always on

I've stripped the stock PCM down to the basics for engine control. Strictly for racing. The car fires up and runs fine, no problems there.

I want to keep the stock PCM controlling the fans. I've wired it up, but the fans are always grounded, no matter what temp. All A/C related codes have been turned off.

I can control the fans using HPT's scanner controls i.e. turn them off and on, but when I leave it up to the PCM to automatically control them it keeps them on all the time.

I've searched, but can't seem to find an answer.

Anybody run into this problem before?

There may be an A/C error code that you need to turn off; hard to say without seeing the file.

I've turned them all off, I even scanned through the list for anything A/C related and turned it off as well i.e. no SES, 3 - No error reported.

The only codes showing up in the scanner are a U100 and occasional fan code when I cycle them on and off quickly.

Frost, I can upload/email my file if want to look at it.

Tally, no, can't say that I am. I have a funny feeling it has something to do with it.

I have removed the pins from the PCM, almost all of what is unnecessary

There is nothing that stands out. Does your ECT report correctly? There is an over-temp protect DTC that is active. You can set that to not-reported, but I don't think that's it.

If you have an open license (don't have to pay for credits), open the attached OEM file. It has the same OS as yours. Open your file in compare and copy everything over. Setup your DTC's, save it, and do a write entire. This should rule out the software side. If you keep it, make sure to update the VIN.

Frost

I uploaded the file, with an entire rewrite, and the fans still kick on. Keep in mind my hardware is for a 2000 T/A but I uploaded a 2002 OS to take advantage of some of the tables that were consolidated. I downloaded a 2000 T/A OS stock file just to eliminate that as a variable and it didn't work either.

What is baffling me, is I can control the fans with the VCM controls. I can hear the relays click on and off. I have both grounds (hi/low, blue and green wires both grounded to the same point)

Just about at wits end with this.
