Default No oil pressure on cold start.... need advice.

Hey guys and gals,

Every time I start my 99 TA when it's cold I have no oil pressure, I tap the gas and it shoots up and appears normal. Once the car is warm and I turn it on it's fine and pressure jumps up as normal. At first I thought it was the sending unit for the gauge because it just sounded like a normal cold start.

This morning when I went to leave the firehouse it was 35 degrees outside. I went to start the car and when I came out 5 min later it was ticking really loud. I ran over to it, looked at the gauge and it was at 0 so I shut it off. I started it back up and it was still at 0, I tapped the gas and the oil pressure shot up to normal.

What do you guys think? Oil pump or bearings? Thanks in advance!

replace the oil pump SOON! And check the inlet screen on the sump for dirt or other problems.
