Default Biggest/best TB for LS6 intake??

Got an LS6 for the car and had my stock tb ported/polished before i put the two on my car, first, what is the intlet size on the front of the ls6 intake? Is it worth getting an aftermarket tb to put on rather than my ported stock tb? Would i see any difference? Can I put an 85mm tb on the intake? Car is full bolt on but will be getting a set of heads and cam this winter if all goes well.

the ls6 intake inlet is only 78mm,not worth it to get a bigger TB.consider a BBK intake and a 85mmTB.

Just port the stocker, that's all you need.

Don't waste your money on an aftermarket TB. Stick with the ported stock one and you'll be fine. Spend the money elsewhere.

76mm, IIRC.

I think the ported stocker/LS6 is fine for a bolt on car.. I think it's choking my h/c setup. I could prolly stand to gain about 10hp with a FAST 90 setup... Prolly 30 with that and better heads.

x1,000,000,000 on a ported stocker.
Do a search, there's dozens of writeups.

Any advantage using a FAST 78 over a ported stock TB? I have both. I was going to run the stock one but after putting the 78 on I like the bling. My motor swap came with the ported stock TB. My rational is to use it since I have it.

They are equal in power gains assuming that the stocker was properly ported. Since you have both, keep whichever one you prefer and sell the other. If you're partial to the bling, then by all means roll with it.
