is that can lift up to 9feet or from bottom to top its 9feet?

i dont need a lift that can raise my car 7 feet off the ground just something basic that i can safetly drop the trans/rear/motor when needed with out using jack stands or cherry picker

This is what i bought, The posts are 9'3'' tall though. IT would be easy to cut a hole in sheet rock and put the top of the post in it.

The one in your first post would work great though. It will do everything a bigger lift will do except wont lift as high.

Just got the max lift and its perfect for garages that have low ceiling heights. Its portable and can be stored when not in use.

It is better to just do it. If you ask and they say no thats the end of that. Besides you only really putting 6 harmless holes into the ground.

OP, How thick does the foundation have to be for a lift?
