BIG dd set-ups
long story short, got into a disagreement with contractor on a job my guys are working on. he had a 2001 t/a with a 220/224 trick flow cam, long tubes and borla exhaust. i asked him how it ran, blah blah blah. told him about my truck and my set-up. he looked at me like i was idiot and told me that was a radical setup for a dd ls1. after talking to him i realized this is one of those guys that "thinks" he knows EVERYTHING and is a one upper. he had never even heard of this site. so i wanna know some of DD setups that you guys drive. i dont consider mine overkill at all for a dd. see sig for specs
if i would have thought about it, i have a buddy with a hke408 with a ms4 he daily drives. people are getting more and more ignorant nowadays.

heh, you sure have more mods than I, I just have a "donkey dick" cam with supporting mods in my DD.
Magic Stick V.4 239/242, .649"/.609" LSA 111 cam, headers, magnaflow exhaust w/ cutout, custom ram intake, polished heads, valve springs, pushrods, ls7 lifters, valve springs, adjustable dampeners. Thats all

426.xxx" iron 427. I call it a 421" since that is a Pontiac motor. 239/247 110° +2 ° cam. Single plane intake. 1215 cfm Accufab 4 BBL TB. Cartek Stage 5X heads. Headers & dual exhaust. Open Loop Speed Density. Twin Disc clutch 6-speed. 3.89 geared 31 spline Detroit Locker rear. Drive it damn near every day. To work and taking my son to school, to the corner store, 30 minutes to Walmart and Autozone, 1 hr to Tallahassee. Just about all the damn time.

Drive my car everyday: 408 CID, 250+ duration cam, built T56, and a little bit of suspension work. I'm a little more accepting to driving a "rougher" car. To give you an idea, I will soon be changing my suspension to rod ended components when I put in the rear (planning MWC 9" spooled and narrowed 3 inches on each side.) Also have plans of having Tick faceplate my T56 right around the time I am putting in the sintered iron Monster Level 4 clutch. All the meanwhile being tagged, insured, and driven everyday. Maybe one day I will grow out of this crap lol.

Not a DD, but I drive it when I can, up to Louisville which is a 2 hour round trip, 3 hour round trip to the race track in Bowling Green. Check out my cold startup video, how much better does something need to drive than this? I rested the camera on the steering wheel showing torque converter lockup, sorry for the shakes. Oh yeah, 705 crank hp on motor.
